Lazy Nivea in shower

When I saw that they sell this product in Slovenia I went crazy, that is the perfect product for me and for anyone that is like me to inconsistent with applying skin conditioner after every shower. I usually don´t even bother applying it. So I just had to try it out. I must say that at first I was sceptical about it´s abilities but I actually really like the product. At first it fells a little bit greasy on the hands but after you wash it of it leaves a nice moisture on your skin, so if you are one of the million people that are to lazy to apply skin conditioner after showering you can now do both things at once.

Light blueberry cheesecake!

LIGHT BLUEBERRY CHESSECAKE
8 graham crackers (3-by-5 inch)
2 tablespoons melted butter
3 cups low-fat (1%) cottage cheese
8 ounces reduced-fat bar cream cheese, room temperature
3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup reduced-fat sour cream
4 large eggs
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 bags (12 ounces each) frozen or fresh blueberries

In a food processor, grind graham crackers until fine crumbs form. Add butter, and pulse to moisten. Transfer crumbs to prepared pan, and press firmly into the bottom. Place pan on a rimmed baking sheet; bake until crust is lightly browned, about 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, wipe bowl and blade of food processor. Blend cottage cheese and cream cheese until very smooth and glossy, scraping down bowl as necessary, 4 to 5 minutes. Add 3/4 cup sugar, sour cream, eggs, flour, vanilla, and salt; blend just until filling is smooth.
Pour filling onto crust (crust can be hot or warm). Bake until barely set in center, about 1 hour. Turn oven off; let cake cool in oven 1 hour. Transfer to a wire rack, and let cool to room temperature.
Combine blueberries and remaining 2 tablespoons sugar. Boil over high heat until liquid is thick and syrupy, 10 to 15 minutes. Pour over cheesecake and refrigerate until cool.
Bon Apetit!

Surface rt cover

I got a cover that I wanted for my surface. I bought one already but it was too small for my tablet, so they had to make me a custom one. So finally it was sent to me. Its a brand called Gracie designs and they do covers for laptops, tablets and passports with really cute patterns. They also have an internet site and they also sell on etsy, so you can check it out. I am really excited because the cover has still some room with a tablet in it, so it will also be a bag for my notebooks and stuff.

Miss Cupcake!

Miss cupcake is a bakery on the Oakland street in Milwaukee and they have very delicious and good looking cupcakes. Maybe they could have a better range of flavours, maybe something fruity, but their chocolate cupcakes are great. I tried the red velvet one and the chocolate chocolate one. When I come home I will make some cupcakes, cause I´m still trying to get the perfect recipe for the frosting but I´m quite close.

New beauty products!

Again I bought some new products. The first one is Essie`s nail polish in the shade where´s my chauffeur, the second one is a primer from Nars that everyone is talking about (good reviews), the third one is Urban decay´s Naked basics palette for my sister (I´m the best sister ever, I know), she really likes neutral shades and I´m also satisfied with the Naked 2 palette that I have. The three brushes I bought are form a brand Real Techniques that I was trying to get for quite some time now. The purple one is a shading brush, the orange one is an expert face brush and the pink one is a setting brush. I can´t wait to try it all. Have a nice day.

This Saturday I went to Chicago and here are some bits and pieces form the one day trip. I marked it as a part one, because I am going to Chicago again on 23th, so there will be a part two. I am planning to post another beauty post about all the stuff that I bought. I kind of have a lot of stuff going on right now, so I am not so consistent but still. I have two wonderful things to tell you. The first one is that I booked a flight to Washington Dc and am going there on Saturday and also very spontaneously booked a flight to Stockholm in September. I don´t know what came over me but I just did it and don´t regret it. After all the travelling I will also post some outfit photos or a video and maybe more cooking stuff.

summer reading

I am currently recovering from a bad cold that I had for few days and only magazines and books kept me company in my comfy bed. This moment I am reading a book titled She´s come undone by Wally Lamb which is a really interesting and easy book. next on my list of reading material is The portrait of a lady by Henry James. I went to a library in Milwaukee where they had books for 50 cents, so that was really a bargain. The third book that I would really like to get my hands on is  the new book from a beautiful mess girls about photography. The book isn´t about professional photography but more amateur and that is exactly what interests me, plus they have a amazing taste for designing. The only thing that kept me going through my cold was the thought that tomorrow I´m going to Chicago for a day which is really exciting. I can´t wait! What is on your summer reading list?
